Helping an Early-Stage utility tech startup attract and onboard new customers
OneBill Utilities Ltd. approached me to design and develop their business website and customer onboarding journey. Being an early-stage startup, while they had created the CRM dashboard to help customers consolidate and switch utility bill plans based on Machine Learning & Data Analytics, they were struggling to attract new customers. So, I decided to build their website to enhance their brand awareness and communicate their value proposition to the right audience with impactful content, SEO, and seamless onboarding.

Overcoming the challenge of no social proof with information & trust building
One of the biggest challenges for initiating startups is the lack of any social proof in the form of testimonials, numbers, reviews, or recognition. To tackle this issue, we decided to elaborate on the information to guide new visitors about the business values, services, plans, pricing, FAQs, and ways to contact. This strategy to serve the website as an information source helped build trust with potential customers without much social proof.
Constraints
Tackling time & budget constraints with responsive Bootstrap UI Library
My client had a severe shortage of time and budget to spend any of it on UX research or multiple wireframe iterations. Still we conducted a brief competitor analysis to understand how similar products communicate their value and onboard customers. Ultimately we decided to sketch and develop the complete website leveraging plain HTML, Vanilla JavaScript and the Bootstrap UI library that allowed quick development with minimal style code & responsive behaviour.
